ARCHITECTURE & INTERIORS: Residential Exteriors
As detailed in the Hospitality & Resort portfolios, Wayne has a special ability to capture and portray any place in the world at its very best. Showcasing the whole concept and the soul of a home requires a special flair and instinct; Wayne is exceptionally talented at creating beautiful wide angle scenes of an exterior facade or interior space as well as close-up details that present the forms and textures on a more personal level.
The type of client and the purpose of the imagery are of upmost importance when planning and preparing an assignment. The needs of an architectural firm can be entirely different from those of a property owner or developer; the first may be looking to showcase their specific services and present it for architectural design awards, the latter more likely require advertising imagery that grabs the attention of a potential purchaser or renter amidst a flood of imagery from their competition. We discuss this further in the next portfolio of Residential Interiors.
Wayne's “master” wide-angle scenes have a strong visual impact, all the while maintaining the inherent distortion of these lenses to an almost imperceptible minimum. The close up sections and details in the same spaces portray the mood and ambience in an entirely different way; when used together the result is a complete portrayal of the property.
Regardless of the concept and style of each assignment, every scene is planned to be captured at its most beautiful time of day, resulting in a portfolio of images from dawn through to dusk, showing off the mood and ambience of all the different times of day and light. Wayne has a particular love of twilight shots, that brief and magical time of day when the interior and exterior lighting balances naturally, enabling him to create glamorous images in that evening ambience.
His 30 years of experience on projects around the world and in all types of circumstances have proved him capable of achieving any project’s goals- regardless of the conditions he encounters on each assignment.
